In 2010, Florence and I discovered Balazuc quite by chance. We bought the Château de Balazuc and welcomed guests for nearly nine years. Welcoming guests like friends was a total joy for us.
Today, the château continues its life with new owners. It is no longer a bed and breakfast.
For our part, Florence and I asked two talented young architects to imagine a resolutely contemporary house, just opposite, on the other hill.
And since the hospitality bug had not left us (we cultivated it!), we created this gîte on the ground floor. It’s a different formula than the château, our guests are independent.
Today, unfortunately, Florence has left me after a brave fight against illness. But her spirit remains and I am always eager to welcome all our guests with open arms, like friends. And of course, at my place, there is no key box: I will always be there to greet you and share a drink…
